Jessica & Derek are true hockey fans…even on their wedding day!  The ceremony was in Chilliwack with their reception at the Legacy Centre in Abbotsford. The whole group was great to photograph and game for anything in spite of being in the middle of our first heat wave of the year.  Here are just a few of our favorite photos from their wedding…

Here are some photos from Marriam & Peter’s wedding that are featured in the Cultural Wedding Planner, a publication that is full of information and planning tools for couples that want to incorporate their culture into their wedding ceremony.  Marriam & Peter were married  at St. George’s Orthodox Church in Surrey.  Their Coptic Orthodox ceremony is based in centuries of Egyptian tradition and symbolism.  Their reception was held at Swan-E-Set golf course in Pitt Meadows and was beautifully decorated with an antique wedding theme.

this post has some questions and answers that we are asked frequently.  if you have a question we didn’t answer here just drop us a line at info@whitealbumweddings.com.

what is your style?  easygoing, fun, romantic, real…we use photographs to tell the story of your wedding day as it happens.  our style is unobtrusive and as much as possible we will blend into the background.  when needed we will give gentle directions to create beautiful portraits of you, your wedding party and your family.

what packages do you offer?  our packages include 2 photographers, flexible coverage and a selection of great albums, prints and more.  tell us what you need and we will build a package for you…it’s your wedding so you decide!  we also offer a gift registry so guests can contribute towards your wedding album.

what about albums?  our  albums are beautiful!  magazine style high quality books with a fresh, modern look.  give us a call for an appointment to come by our studio and see our samples.

will we see our photos online?  your photos will be posted online and you will be able to share your password with  your family and guests and allow them to  view your photos and order prints.

do we get proofs? yes.  with most of our packages you will get 100’s of professional 4X6 prints.

what is your availability? give us a call or drop us an email and we’ll let you know if we are available for your wedding day. we can set up a complimentary consultation at our studio for us to get to know each other.

how do we secure our wedding date?  once we receive your contract and a retainer, the date is yours.

do you offer engagement sessions?  yes. our engagement sessions are a fun way to celebrate the beginning of your new life together.  it’s also a great way for us to get to know each other a bit better and help make you feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

how do we schedule a session?  give us a call to schedule your photo shoot at our studio or on location.  choose a great location that has meaning for you or an activity that you love from your day to day life.    here’s some ideas;  the beach,  your favorite coffee shop,  a walk down a country lane,  downtown and urban…be as creative and unique as you want.

what do we wear?   wear something that makes you feel good and that you are comfortable in. we suggest that you avoid busy patterns otherwise, just be yourself.    if possible you can bring a change of clothes for a different look.

how long does it take?  sessions normally last 1 to 2 hours, but can be less or more depending on what we are doing.  your photos will be posted online for ordering prints.  we also have lots of ways to display your engagement photos from our pretty cool guest books, mounted art displays, matting, framing and canvases.   our new engagement packages give you a print credit, and online gallery and a CD of your photos for projection during your reception.

what cameras do you use?  we use professional cannon digital equipment. we can offer you black & white, stunning colour, cross-processing, sepia, selective colour plus great prints and enlargements!

where are you located?  our studio is in our old chapel in greendale, chilliwack just a few minutes east of abbotsford .  we often photograph weddings all through the lower mainland and in vancouver.   In the lower mainland and fraser valley our packages include travel time between locations with no limit on the number of locations. we also love to travel for weddings so don’t let our location stop you!  here’s a map if you need to find us.

why do we do it?  we love weddings!  if you look closely you will sometimes see us shed a tear and maybe see a quiet smile as we look through the lens of our camera.

do you do portraits?  yes!  families, maternity, babies, children, boudoir… we also have travel and art prints available at  www.whitealbumphoto.ca.

It’s Wedding Season!

Every once in a while we are reminded of how much we love our job; and our job is ALL ABOUT LOVE.  We have been busy preparing for the new wedding season that is now suddenly here!   So we’ve spent some time preparing, travelling (visit our travel website www.whitealbumphoto.ca) and meeting couples in love and now spring is here and we are looking forward to another busy time photographing weddings.  The wedding chapel will continue its long history and see more couples begin their new life together, and we will be reminded each time of how precious new love is and how priceless a life spent with the one you love can become.  Best of all, in the midst the daily struggles, and good old-fashioned hard work, we are doing what what we love most!

The Photo Book

We love being able to give you different album options when it comes to displaying your wedding photos.  Our new Photo Books are a fun choice.  Choose  vertical, horizontal or square layouts with matte or glossy pages and a clean, modern design.  They come with a great metallic print photo jacket and make great parent books.

   

“Huckleberry Design” Launched

We are thrilled to announce the launching of Michelle McKinnon’s new venture Huckleberry Design.

Michelle is a graduate of the Floristry Program at Kwantlen College with experience at Granville Island Florist.   Not only does Michelle have impeccable taste and attention to detail, but she is also Elizabeth’s daughter!

Jessy + Nick

Nick & Jessy were married at White Album Wedding Chapel and we photographed their wedding at Cultus Lake.    Jessy & Nick and their wedding party were amazing! Even  though it was a freezing cold day everyone got in on the fun, red boas and all!  Here are some fun and romantic photographs of their wedding day.
